Is it just me? I have been feeling bad for not linking people who have linked my button but at the same time some people I linked doesn't seem to link me anymore or like they don't know that I linked them-

My apology if some people here linked me but I haven't link them back, I feel like my emotions are really mixed
Something about linking each other's buttons in the indie web community is fascinating but at the same time it kinda feels like chasing for clout
i try to link everyone who has linked me so if i dont have the linked its a mistake, and i think its probably the same for most people. if i link someone, i dont expect them to link me back at all ive never rlly thought abt it. id have to agree, it can feel like clout chasing if u think abt it too hard
I have no idea if there's any rules on it, unspoken or not. I personally think you shouldn't feel responsible for knowing everyone who has linked you, nor should you feel pressure to link back. It's a nice thing to do for people, but if it becomes a forced thing, it kinda loses sincerity imo.
