My new laptop arrived. I might not be able to finish setting it up since I have to leave for work soon, but I'll definitely be updating my site sometime tomorrow.

I used Neocities's editor to remove an image that didn't work anymore (for whatever reason).
I tried fixing my laptop, but I couldn't perform a factory reset because the hardware also got corrupted. I just ordered a new one and I feel a little bad about the whole thing, but maybe it's okay since I've had my laptop for years now + it's already been falling apart + my birthday is coming up later this month + I at least have my important files backed up.

@oceanfront Oh, thank you! Sometimes I'm not good at decision making and I think I'll have to triple check resources online from now on. ^.^; I usually don't replace things unless they become unusable, so maybe it was about time I got a new laptop! The one I picked seems decent... Fingers crossed!
Another update on the whole malware thing: I thought it was gone, but I restarted my laptop because the task bar wouldn't go away when in fullscreen, and now my CPU is freaking out again. ^^; The solution I used last time isn't working either, but I'll try again tomorrow.

The moment my laptop fixed itself, I didn't want to ever shut it off in case the problem happened again. But the taskbar on the screen when I was trying to watch anime was so annoying (even though I could have just watched it on my phone) and I took the risk. Agh!

I was somehow able to fix my laptop and get rid of the malware on it. I have a new blog entry (mostly about what media I've been into) and I have more updates more later this weekend.

@chezimu I feel as though I shouldn't have been able to fix my laptop because of just how bad my decisions were, but I'm thankful regardless. And thank you! I imagine the words "controversy section" in your comment look kind of intimidating to someone who didn't read my entry when you're just referring to my section about fictional crushes and stuff LOL.

I was working on something for my site and installed malware that has made my laptop unusable. I don't know why I don't realize that I'm doing something stupid until right after making bad decisions... >_>

I wanted to try finding a PDF preview/digital version of a book I was writing about, downloaded a suspicious thing from a suspicious site because I was just stubborn about getting a few paragraphs from this book. Agh.

I'm able to boot my laptop into recovery/safe mode. I tried uninstalling some files, still had issues, went back to safe mode and uninstall more files... I can at least export my site files (and other things) if I had a flashdrive or something. I'm just going to take a break from trying to fix it since I'm a little stressed out.

I keep accidentally unfollowing people because I tap on their profile (usually under the new followers tab) and somehow end up hitting the unfollow button. Oops!
