"love scares me when all i have known is asymmetry" hits way too close to home. what a creative definition!!

this is such an impressive poem - love the contrast between the inner world of the piece and the mathematical language!

I think the empty space to the right is really adding something to the piece. what a fun format, didn't know it was called that!

I actually think you used the prompt as a jumping-off point very well - you explored the idea of asymmetry as a discrepancy between previously and currently held notions beautifully. it's a strong piece, love the final line!

oh this is amazing!!! i really enjoyed your exploration of the prompt actually, i think there is a certain asymmetry in growing up and filling the space that opens up to you.

these pieces really struck a chord - they feel like someone discovering their own mortality for the first time in practice, which is something both relevant and hard to capture. great job!

hello lovelies ! we've got a new prompt up for this week :] i hope you enjoy: write about or use asymmetry in your writing. what is the intrigue in imbalance? maybe work with different-sized stanzas or long, long sentences followed by short ones, or think about how no two bodies are the same, nor two halves of the same body, or how the feeling of a painting shifts with where the objects sit.
