guys would making your last name your preferred name be weird like im applying for college rn and would it be weird to put your last name for your preferred first name would it be read as "lastname lastname" does that make sense
i cant speak on whether or not that would be weird but i think (at least from personal experience) that your name would be read as lastname lastname. at my college at least when someone puts a preferred name (it can literally be anything), it will appear as that one not the legal one (ex: if a guy named joseph puts his preferred name as jo his id/name in the system would be jo) if this makes sense. or is even helpful
no idea but when i use my last name as a given name i dont give them. the last name. so its last name. no lastname. but its super unnoficial and shit. anyways.
