It's really cool to see the GIF of your process! I can see that you use high opacity for your rendering, which gives great painterliness. When you block in the initial colors, are you using a brush with 100% opacity then too?

im glad that you like the GIF, and thank you for the question! when i do my first pass of color, and even for the rest of my rendering, i like to use a square brush that gives me about ~80% opacity. it allows me to layer and blend quite easily
added some description of the field spirits / wreath thing; needs fleshing out to mention cultures it comes from (lots, Euro) and some of the fun particular spirits (Haferbock!)
