Little guide on how to choose a lolita dress that looks good. I would really appreciate if any other lolita want to review it and tell me if I made any mistake or forgot something important ππ
thank u so so much Q-Q i was going to tell u that i saw it last night but neocities was down for me
I hope it will be useful to you ^^ (Yeah neocities was down for me too not so long after I posted it)
Added some of the new main pieces I got since last years (I'm still waiting for a JSK in the mail)
eheh thank you ^-^ Nameless poem is actually quite easy to find and exists in various sizes at a decent price if you want it ! (wouldn't recommend the victorian maiden one tho, as gorgeous as it is, it's hella small and I say that as a small person)
Iβve been on the lookout for nameless poem for some time, but ever since I learned itβs made of polyester Iβm not so sure anymore if I should get itβ¦ Would you say the material is very noticeable ?
It's indeed polyester :'( I would say it's one of good quality and thickness, it doesn't feel cheap. Obviously, it's not really breathable and it has long sleeves so it can get a bit stuffy but the inside is still way better than those cheap lining fabrics often used. Personally, I have eczema and I try to avoid polyester because of that and I never found nameless poem unpleasant to wear.
It still looks like polyester in the sense that the fabric doesn't really crease and isn't as soft as cotton tho.
haha thanks i am a bit tall so i have to take that into account when i purchase my first coord:)) i dont wanna bother u but what would u recommend insofar as cotton fabrics concerned? am a noob so i feel a bit scatterbrained
Ahah don't worry, it can be a lot at first. Fabric type is more of a personal choice in aesthetic and properties. Cotton fabric is more present in older pieces (either the listing or lolibrary will tell you the composition and the measurements). As a general rule, be wary of too cheap pieces, cheap polyester especially is both ugly and unconfortable and you won't be happy in the long run. Same with cheap lace.
I'm not sure if I help, I could tell more but the character limit makes it difficult >< I can write a little guide if you want ^^
if it's more convenient for u i can also email u if u want. and thx for being so so nice ^.^
I'll write something during the week and I'll tell you if I need to email you or if I publish it somewhere ^^
Was a bit away from neocities (as I sadly often do :|) but I made some more clothes for the dress up game ^-^
Updated my about page to include other people buttons β‘ (I wanted to do that for a while). It's still a work in progress and I only included blogs I follow (unless I didn't find your buttons) but I'll add more later ^-^
Btw, calling cards are more or less the XIXth century business cards. You would use them to leave message to friends who weren't at home when you visited them, but also exchanged with others for various social purposes ^^
