now having run macos sequoia on my 2017 macbook pro instead of ubuntu, I have thoughts. First and foremost, I have noticed a clear performance reduction as compared to ubuntu. This isn't based on any benchmarking software, as I didn't think to test it before I switched OSs, but it definitely feels slower as compared to gnome. The temps are SIGNIFICANTLY better, and the palm rejection is, of course, much better.

Previously, even with mbpfan installed (which is a bit of software that tells the fans to ramp up more often in linux), I still saw temps that are two or three times higher than what I see on macos, making it a much more usable system in that regard. However, the reduction in performance is noticeable (although performance was betterr when actually running supported software, lmao). I still hate macos tho
