i know the commissions thing was like. months ago. but i suggest estimating how much time it takes per hour. so like, let's say you want $12 an hour (which i think is minimum wage and anything underneath that is stupid), if a site layout takes 3 hours then charge $36. people make commissions into nonsense about "how much do u think its worth" but ultimately i don't think it's that
if you don't do it based on hours then you're still doing it based on hours, just pretending to ignore it! so if you sel;l layouts for $25 and they usually take 3 hours, you are working at below minimum wage, whether you like it or not. just because you ignore the hour amount, doesn't mean you're not spending those hours on it. btw this doesn't mean "charge client per hour," it just means to estimate beforehand.
