"your personal website is too boring" discourse pisses me off because nobody here makes a site solely for another person's enjoyment, doesn't that defeat the whole point of the indieweb. don't know where we got this mindset that things are only valid if they stimulate your eye holes

I find that this is similar to when an artist online feels forced to go with what is trendy in able to be seen/game the an algorithm. Sites should be made for fun and should be creative freedom! thats the whole reason on why I stopped using social media so much. I felt like I was trying to to please others, which made me feel less happy with what I made.
