(cont5) Canadian movies and shows tend to be more edgy, even though in public we are overall very polite. Trailer Park Boys, Puppets Who Kill, Kenny vs Spency, cartoons like Ren Stimpy, Mega Babies, ReBoot, Cybersix are shows that could be considered the term problematic or contain uncomfortable subjects to many people, but some of these shows are still very popular and some we can see how ->

much a series has changed since when it first came out in the mid 2000's and keeping going today and just adjusting the characters to the current cultures trends and sensibilities.

(cont4) rehabilitation and life after hate, then you're not progressive. The rest of the list don't make me fricking laugh. The last one about the residential schools makes me wondering what is going on through your head mate, to even see this shit. Ratmen? "In america". Okay, maybe there. But Canada? Never heard it used that way to refer specifically to a race of people. I mean I get to the part about the glasses ->

and I really think you were high when you wrote all this. How are glasses racist. What is even going on here. Then there is that joke about the "pedo luther" or whatever. So you don't know the pedobear meme you're either 100 years old or 13. "from the WW2 era" who would even fricking know that. It's nitpicking. And the person who started this wants to stir up shit on the internet lol.

(cont3) people would definitely take that in a different context than what I was intending, so I changed his design and deleted old comics or accounts or whatever I did lol because that was in the fleshing out stage of the ranfren world and it went through several changes before I settled on a more concrete idea.

So I don't know how this is seen as a bad thing to decide to delete that or abandon works. I've been wondering who on earth this person is who went through digging up my old internet history from 10 years ago, and what is actually their purpose and intent in doing all this. People get exposed to new things and experiences and they change. If the political ideology or whatever you stand up for doesn't include ->

(cont2) it was very casual and popular to greet eachother like that if you were really close. But they didn't really understand (and still don't because it does still continue to this day) the deeper meaning behind the history of the word itself, they just thought/think it's cool. I didn't know what the confederate flag even was until 2 years ago or so, and still don't fully understand it because of not enough ->

context. It's not really something we learned at in school here if at all because we learn more about our country. And about Nyen's colour, the very first picture of luther with the catmen was in an illustration of him and the creation of his tulpas, nyon and nyen. Since the theme was yinyang nyon was coloured completely white and nyen completely black to represent this. At some point I obviously figured that ->

(cont) And now with the internet, we learn a lot faster about other places now too than ever before because there is no longer that constriction of being mostly exposed to local and national entertainment. When you go to very rural areas, you tend to find people are around 5-10 years behind on the latest fashions and music and such, because they move at a slower time in a sense than people with more rapid access ->

to new media. You kind of have to think of that way when regarding something about how to act due to age, because its experience is what matters in the end, not how many years on the planet you have been on. It's definitely not right to use a term that is racially discriminating to others, but back in that time because of rap and hip hop being the most popular music genre in our schools during then

I want to make it clear too that American culture I only really get through media, because I don't know many people from there in person and I am of course going to be more exposed to Canadian media and content. I have seen a comment that said that "I should have known better" at that age, but maybe that would have made more sense if I was actually living in America.

In Canada there is a law regarding television that 70% of the content has to be Canadian-made, so while we do get a lot of American shows and stuff now, a lot of weird and offbeat Canadian cartoons and such ended up being made back in the 90's and early 2000's.

if you seriously, genuinely, in your heart believe respectfully posting about visiting the kamloops residential school memorial is somehow "problematic" or that ignoring the person who somehow assumed his rat character was based on an obscure world war two era charicature was anything other than the correct decision, then you need to step back for a second

also making a 32 year old apologize for any of this is completely pointless, even if you believe it to be necessary. the only thing that it would actually make sense to apologize for would be the elliot rodgers manifesto, and youre a fool if you think he agrees with elliot on any level

I do have to admit, the doc was very poorly made and feels rushed however minors do have a reason to voice their concerns since he does encourage minors to be apart of his community and calls his comic a shojo(which is a Japanese term to describe media aimed for teen girls and sometimes little girls). A person this severely mentally ill should not be encouraging minors to be in his community...

ranfren is not "marketed" or advertised. You have to go out of your way to find the about page calling it a shojo. I am so sorry you've never heard of jokes before

Minors in no way are justified in harrassing, doxing, hacking, trying to drag peoples names in the mud because they got personally offended over something. I get theres concerns but they shoulda been brought up when it happened instead of 10 years later. This callout culture is useful in some ways but these kids misuse it too much over stuff that doesnt matter. Its cartoon, its fiction, just dont read it.
