I mention these specifically because, although it's easy to fall into overconsumption with stationery, both of these products (although they require a significant financial investment at first) are designed to get better with time and be used for life. They're designed to discourage overconsumption, even down to the fact that wear and tear (the patina) is seen as a feature, not a defect.

oh jeez im so sorry for taking a while. oof yeah i know about both of these! i had my eyes on the traveler's notebook and i really wanted the lamy safari fountain pen in particular, but the former is not available here in brazil (and import taxes are astronomical) and the latter is just too expensive here to justify rn. maybe when i'm not broke anymore :'( (continued)

i am definitely mindful about overconsumption now that the thrill has worn off though. im glad to report almost all of my stuff from 2 years ago is still going strong haha. i refill my preppy and all of my art fineliners with ink and a syringe (thank god for being able to refill art pens they're so expensive and sooo wasteful)

me too (personality test websites have probably collected an ungodly amount of info on me lmao)
I understand Neocities keeps the feed's features purposefully bare so people can focus on their sites but I agree that a notification system would still be nice, even just for posts that are no older than a week
