I think a fresh start could be good! It may be annoying to set everything up again, but it seems like you have already made up your mind and just need the motivation to take all the necessary steps to start anew :D

as for your own webrings, as in the ones you have created, i think if youre up for it it may be worth it to move the webrings over to your new site as well? of course you would need to give people plenty of notice and make sure everyone has switched their widgets over to the new one before removing the old one, maybe redirecting people from the old ring to the new one for people who want to join?

if all of the webring data is mirrored exactly then the id thing wouldnt be an issue with new people joining the new one. if that makes any sense? i dunno! but good luck okay!
