to think of it, i might have also kinda "cheated" by doing that auto daily build, since that makes sure my site is always updated within the last 24h. but oh well, i dont think that matters that much, and i cant think of another way to do birthdays without JS

Pretty sure it's supposed to be a notification for when someone follows or comments on your page. It gets cleared out when you open 'Your Feed' so I don't think most people realize it exists
