love your commentary on these old art styles and genres that ppl have had to name themselves... ^__^ one style that comes to mind is this popular type of art that was also remniscient sometimes of parisian/ cafe art w folk art elements, like laurel burch/isaac maimon & i think it influenced some things at the time bc as a kid for some reason i felt myscene gave me the same vibes as that type of cafe art LOL

wow when you brought up isaac maimon you made me remember that my parents owned a painting (not original) painting of his in our basement. and that REALLY took me back!!! I love hearing and reading about all these obscure art and influences because not only do I get nostalgic but to dwell on the details makes me remember the context of these times better. AND YES MYSCENE FEELING THAT WAY IS SO TRUE...
