i talked about this on my toyhouse but i think i'd love to add my ocs on here?? since. y'know. the "ocs" tag basically means nothing if there's no characters here. i obviously have other reasons but i think i can be more free on this site

i'm still wondering what the point is in making a hobby site if it's gonna give me such a headache. agghh. i guess it's fun when it works but i feel a little extra right now. i'll try taking a break from website building because i've been going ham these past few days

i guess it's just nice to make something you can be proud of? kind of like decorating a house, you don't *need* to hang paintings but they sure do look pretty!
i see people here with the heftiest, tabbiest art galleries and it's making me kinda insecure about mine because it's 1 page and kinda hard to look at. i'm still in bed right now so i'll consider doing something about this when i get up

i had a tage system in mind but i think using tabs to categorise artworks would be less frustrating
i added a brand new category (quick drawings) since some stuff didn't really qualify as full drawings. my image sorting is all over the place, my bad 🙏

new gallery is here..! it's in the "beta testing" phae i guess so it's not the best thing, but we make do! it's interesting i think. also renamed all the drawings so they're not just "img_930485.png". also added & replaced some shit!!! sorry i just woke up from a fucked up nap

still trying to make the images look bearable because We only suffer here :) flexbox hates pictures, i wonder if there's any other way to do it

i used "object-fit:contain" which helps me display the full image without having to go through the hassle of fixing weird stretching but it makes them all spaced out unevenly and it looks... very unflattering. object-fit:cover is a last resort, although it crops ur image weirdly. i want it so you can view the full thing straight up but nooo!! this is web design we can't just make anything easy!

oh yeah let's go. i fixed my it. got emotional for a sec!! if u wanna figure out what problem i had look at number 2 on https://kombai.com/css/flex-not-working-common-flexbox-issues/ i spent a good chunk of my hours trying to figure out what happened when i could've just looked at that...
