Sorry to hear you lost that entire collection! \: At least these days it's easy to find most/many music videos online.
Yeah. I only use YouTube for my music video needs nowadays. It usually seems to have every video I'm looking for.
Oops, I meant to say "I use only YouTube for my music video needs nowadays." Hehe.
Corbijn's direction and production values vary wildly from one video to the next, but his best collaborations with DM are so memorable.
Your list is terrific, but I couldn't help but notice a few glaring omissions: Smiths, Pixies, John Carpenter, Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine...
Thanks for the suggestions, I just typed that list rather quickly off the top of my head, so I'll be sure to make corrections along the way. I've heard of of all the names you mentioned, but I must admit I'm not that familiar with their releases, so I better check out some of their stuff on YouTube.
Thanks for the follow too! It's nice to meet a fellow Depeche Mode fan! "Violator" has some great tunes on it for sure. ^_^
Take it from someone with firsthand experience: one problem complicating diagnoses of that common comorbidity is both commonality and mutual exacerbation of their symptoms. Violator's probably the best synthpop album since Trans-Europe Express.
comorbid sounds a little...morbid heh :D it should be like co-conspirators or something :3
I remember watching F1 as a kid; one of my memories from that time is Michael Schumacher overtaking the safety car just because he could
I never finished "In Search of Lost Time," but I did enjoy the first two volumes. Proust is definitely prolix, but not wantonly so; his attention to sensitivities and sequent mannerisms is just terribly aureate. I'm still not convinced that his oeuvre is the ultimate expression of modern Francographie, but I could be wrong.
I enjoy F1 races sometimes, but I'm no more likely to pay to view them than to access NetFlix or D+. Were you referring to Saudi Arabia? (if you're surveilled, blink twice for yes, once for no ;D)
I don't actually own any CDs/LPs/cassettes by Tears for Fears. I used to have their early albums as downloaded MP3s, but I deleted the files after a while since it is after all illegal to download music without paying. Nowadays I just listen to their stuff on YouTube.
Yeah, from what I've heard Saudi Arabia isn't the poster child for respecting human rights. But at the same time it's apparently not the only problematic country where F1 races are held. I haven't been hearing great things about China lately. But I need to do more research on the subject.
Correction: Now that I checked the list of races for this year they don't seem to have a race in China.
I used to watch F1, but I don't watch TV now, nor do I subscribe to any such streaming services that might show it. I missed it at first, but not so much now.
the style of music pages is very interesting! Also the Cool Fernando Alonso pictures pages totally should be brought back ヾ(≧ ▽ ≦)ゝヾ(≧ ▽ ≦)ゝ
The music pages are designed to look like they are being accessed on an old computer from the 1980s. At least on my laptop it looks like it. ^_^
I'm useless at describing my own site, my interests there seem too varied and ever-changing. Someone else recently created such a links page with descriptions... but I'm currently unable to remember who! *sorry person!*
