Thought of you today because the wikipedia page on travelling gnome was mentionning that gnome thievery could "cause distress to the victims of the theft" and I really thought they were talking about the kidnapped garden gnome being traumatized and not the gnome's owner being rightfully upset at the disappearance of their gnome.

(and yes, I was reading that wikipedia page after remembering the French Garden Gnome Liberation Front that was very active moving garden gnomes around when I was a kid)
AHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG first of all thank you for thinking of me ;_;! second of all that is so goddamn funny... garden gnome separation anxiety... they're so vulnerable out there, they're domestic breed.... LOL
