absolutely love the vocabulary you used and the imagery you built with it, great piece!
first of all, thank you for your vulnerability - such a sweet and thoughtful piece! I especially like the line about making childhood memories as an adult, and 'I felt my youth'. beautiful work, hope you're okay!
@ryomakesthings thank you! i cant claim one good night fixed me lol but i think it refreshed me/put me on the right track. hoping things look up from here :]
god that last line hits hard, and the yearning for the comfort of the past is so relatable. love this entry.
God, this made me cry. thank you for sharing with us, it's a beautiful, bittersweet piece. I relate to those inner contradictions and struggling with what they have to say about our essence. I hope you're alright!
thank you ryo, i'm okay! i write this kind of thing to exorcise it from my mind. i'm sorry it made you cry - i hope you're okay too! and thank you again. it was my dad's birthday on monday, and i wrote him a poem where i told him i love him without using those words. so he knows, at least.
this was awful to read in the best possible way. i cant say ive done anything quite as intense but i know those conflicted feelings and urges all too well. i hope everything is okay, or that things are getting easier
@chimeramanticore thank you for reading, and i'm sorry you relate - it's tough! everything is alright and things are much easier than they were 4 years ago! i really am glad that i can talk to him again...
yeah of course! i totally understand. i hope you're able to return at some point :]
this is really good, i hope being in that place helps you feel more connected to your grandmother. please take care of yourself!
@manyface thank you! I am doing well now, just been very interested in reflecting on mortality lately x
lovely ! i'll add you now :]
I love this, it gives me this image of a tiny guy just floating off indefinitely. it's haunting and soothing at the same time!
