I LOVE relatable character / "kin" pages! What characters do you guys relate to?

If we're talking anime... Tomoko. I also have a much cooler younger brother and many cringe memories. I too also evolved to act like a normie in the streets.

I love looking at what characters people relate to too! I think most recently I found I related to Marcille from Dunegon Meshi a lot, (´▽ˋ)

Mako (Kill la Kill), I didn't finish watching the anime and I didn't enjoy the story much lol but I totally imagine she like myself was a teenager, the ridiculous pose, the energy, the slowness of thinking and absent minded. I totally relate to that LOL

I love pages like that too!! It made me happy seeing some classic characters on here, like Haruhi and Konata! It's a little embarrassing considering how much I love her, but Aerith is probably my biggest "kin"--and Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables! She was my OG and still is, haha ;u; It's their free spirits and imagination and intuition and their drive for a good life despite everything!! ♡♡

for me, i think the most relatable characters are magari from kimisomu and mika from skip and loafer! i love this page you've cooked up a bunch

omg clear…. he was my favorite in DMMD hehehe as for characters i relate to…. currently Alpha from YKK and Haruhi from OHSHC but i feel like she’s a relatable character in general!! i used to kin utena during my tumblr days and i still relate to her somewhat

I agree, it's interesting to see lists of "characters I personally relate to" (vs "characters I enjoy") because it's about how someone thinks of themselves. I can't think of a case where I thought "she's like me fr fr" while watching/reading something, but my loved ones have compared me consistently to a few characters and that's probably more revealing of who I am than anything I'd assign myself...

@lazer-bunny Marcille is a great one too! I actually didn't expect DunMeshi to get so so big after the anime... Isn't it weird? (I sound like such a hipster right now)

@neko / ame I also relate to Mako's energy and well, emotional / expressive personality! I personally like Trigger's art style and animation and loved the episode where she and her family got a taste of a nice life. Great character!

Flowers and long dresses~~~ I also associate that kind of style with Heidi, Girl of the Alps and Moomin a little lol. OH YEAH there was also a Blythe doll this morning I saw for sale that made me think of your vibe... I'll find and link it!

@cloveratelier / kiley, I have not watched KimiSomu, but Mika is a elatable character I think with how she handles herself / her issues (for a lack of better words)... that's a pretty good choice!

@sakana that's interesting, if you feel comfortable sharing, what characters have people assigned to you? There's lot of characters that I really like who are way to different to how I am as a person. I had different sides to me like everyone, so obviously I can't be like groups A-C at all times! If I had to choose the most ME FR FR character from this list, I would pick Colette maybe

LOL I didn’t notice both utena and haruhi are boyish in appearance.. I’m actually very girly but in middle school (my kin days) I had short hair and dressed like a boy.. I still retain my boyish personality which is why I relate to them lol!

I stopped caring about mega evolutions when they turned out to be a generational gimmick that didn't stick :/

I loved Mega Evolutions. Was happy to seem them in gen vii, but sad that Mega Kangaskhan get nerfed.

@toji to be fair, Mega Kanga was crazy in Gen 6 with Parental Bond competitively. that thing hit like a truck

I know, and I loved it. Adding two priority moves to it's moveset made for an incredibly annoying Mega.

Your anti-hobbies list is so interesting! I only got into K-pop in the last couple years bc honestly I felt the same way. But I find that it's actually pretty easy to just enjoy the music without diving into the intricacies of it. Just...stay away from K-pop twitter lmao.

@amy Yes exactly! kpop twitter scares me, but the music is very catchy! it's also hard to me to keep up with "the lore" of these bands lol... "omg this band is a 2nd gen group that flopped at the charts internationally" ?_? .... I'm glad you like my anti-hobbies list!! Making a little venn diagram of hobbies and anti-hobbies was fun. I'll still do my best to support my lolita, kpop, band fandom, and genshin friends
