Yep, here's hoping. They responded to the initial discovery rather quickly because they (rightly) recognized how costly water damage is. But then they didn't follow up to get a closer look in the intervening ~8 months. Baffling.

Yeah there's a CRT effect! I am currently working on a much simpler version of the website, I personally find it a bit too confusing. So I've decided to set this aesthetic aside (for now) and create a simpler/cozier website.

Hah, thank you! avant-garde is very kind of you to say. That forest is still a bit of a work in progress... I made it years ago but never finished it, then I used the dialogue system for another project, and now I'm coming back to it to try and finish that page... everything is a bit of a work in progress really. but thanks for stopping by!

something that may be relevant to some of y'all: folks are trying to get a new top-level domain (.meow) off the ground as part of an initiative to build out queer community infrastructure online. check out their foundation site at dotmeow.org, they should be making some announcements soon

with the current state of things, online platforms keep getting more hostile to queer (and especially trans) folks, so they're taking this step to support those who need to carve out their own spaces. they explain it better than I can

Glad to see my blog speak to you! Yeah, times are tough and travel expenses aren't something I can really handle. I am trying to plan a couple modest regional weekend trips though. I've got friends I'd like to go see, and I'll see if I can find an inexpensive way to do it.

mandatory only to access 18+ servers, otherwise functions normally w/o needing to give an ID--but still it's pretty shit ;_;
I basically only use it for DMs and a long-dormant gaming voice chat channel with some of my college friends. Some of that core group wants to explore our options just on principle though! I have been the newly-minted privacy weirdo willing to trailblaze on this stuff, so I'll probably feel out Matrix and other stuff ahead of them :p
ive also heard stoat/revolt mentioned alongside element as well, stoat iirc actually had their signups overloaded bc of it LOL
lol i thought stoat was a fake "making fun of silly fake sites" thing like Poob.
TeamSpeak's registration was also slammed when I tried it about an hour ago.
