i think that having some sort of following on neocities is a lot more positive than on social media. i'm never comfortable enough showing my real self on, say, twitter or instagram. but here i can, and it feels more human because everyone who follows me does the same.

Fully agree, especially since the point of Neocities isn't like that of social media. It creates a different environment in a way we really like.
