don't give up on sci-fi pls! TヘT there's so much good in the genre that gets overshadowed by the predictable bigwigs

maybe you'd enjoy: cosmicomics by italo calvino (this is a collection of short stories, so more approachable if you don't want a time sink), the employees by olga ravn, or robot by adam wisniewski-snerg ♥

I really enjoyed the Illuminae series, which is a really interesting way to tell a story. I didn't like their other sci-fi novel tbh.

as neko commented, you have "margin-top: 40px;" under the id "#content a". next time u can check by doing right click -> Inspect on your website to fix weird spacing and code issues :D

I'm finding it confusing at first. but it seems a lot of people do too. I was worried I had gotten the wrong book or introduced halfway through the novel. but no I guess that's what Guin wanted. Hats off.

@missymjwrites agree!! especially since i'm not a SF reader, the beginning of the book is very confusing~

I'm a huge SF fan (though funnily enough I don't read a lot of it) but even I'm like "hmm" I'm taking loads of notes to understand things tho lmfao
I might have to put Left Hand of Darkness on the backburner. I'm interested in it, but I'm only reading during my lunch breaks at work and I'm just so like ugh... it's interesting, but iunno. It's tough. And I'm a sci-fi fiend!
@missymjwrites that's so interesting, i thought me not being a sci-fi person had a lot to do with me not liking it. sometimes we are in the mood to read something else or nothing at all, right :3
that's a fair assumption to make. I think because it's just ... dated? that's where the sci-fi elements feel like soft sci-fi. but yeah I'm just like, interested in finishing it, but not interested enough to dedicate an hour during my break to read it.
