Tbh, I think they both look terrific, but the first chromatically consorts with your white background. If you're willing to implement both to load either randomly or in alternation with matching backgrounds, I'd suggest that. Either way, consonance is key....

actually now that i think hard about it, i like the current header more, it just needs more detail!
the blue one looks cool but i don't think it would fit on the site with the other stuff
