I love watching videos and reading threads of people trying to "uncover the truth" about internet mysteries. I feel like 9/10, the mystery was fabricated with the intent to fuck with people. Altho no one's found my random encrypted shit on the Internet as far as I'm aware, I used to do this all the time. Seems like most people are quick to assume some grand conspiracy involving secret organizations and intrigue.

i think a lot of ppl would rather fantasize that the world is cooler, more purposeful, and more mysterious than it is random and mundane, yknow, hopefully ascribing meaning to things that have none. that or they're SUPER paranoid lol
