So, funny (and true) loophole, I never technically threw it out. I just never took it with me when I moved out of my dad's place and told him he could do whatever with it.

I worried that I would end up sounding like a woman when I started regularly speaking Japanese -- in the end, I don't think I sound like anything at all... Proust is definitely not a long tweet, but if you don't like those first few pages, you're not going to like the rest of it. I was hooked around two pages in; one of those cases where the aspects I like the most are exactly the parts others find obnoxious.

house update. i attended my first condo board meeting. my house is a townhouse with 7 other houses in the block. the only thing the houses share, which the condo board must manage, is a driveway... and yet the meeting devolved into intense passive aggressive conflict within 15m. i was so stressed out. what have i gotten myself into

i was actually thinking the same thing yesterday when i was working on something and looking at the actual pages themselves extensively instead of just working inside code editor the whole time...
at the same time, i like the "no cheap thrills to be had here!" vibe you get from going monochrome
one could even say it's... suboptimal....
