as the three year anniversary of my site is approaching remember that anyone who is building their website can feel free to steal code from anywhere on my website i literally don't even care if you claim it as yours. maybe you can even make it better

i constantly see drama like "oh blah blah blah stole my code/copied my layout" but like. the thing is it's code and there's finite things to do with it really. now if you steal my drawings or music and claim as your own i'll be mad but code? get outta here. if stealing mine teaches you more about coding then i've done my job

Unironically I probably wouldn’t even have started a site if it weren’t you, now (though on a break) I’m reworking my site to use my own layout :D But I will always give credit where it due!

That drama was so confusing when I saw it soon after joining. Years programming for a living and I'm yet to see a dev that doesn't copy code. It's almost our daily routine lol

i think its weird people get so guarded over every aspect of their code. i saw someone go as far as to have developer tools disabled on their site n its like "that's so excessive."

like i hate to be the guy who is like "yeah its no big deal if 13 year olds are looking at other people's code to figure it out" but also like... idk, learning from doing at that age will get you further than the w3c tutorials. thats what we all did in early 00s anyways.

i know i've slowed down with meaningful updates/new content, but i do have more planned and several things i will get around to in the future, hopefully soon now that i should have a bit more free time than i did all spring
