imagine downloading a 20yo virus and win10 has no idea what to do with it

( i just helped my sis who is only a few yrs younger than me learn how to find and move files on her macbook )

( also i keep running into job apps with embarrassingly low typing speeds like im talking 35wpm )

I’m a zoomer and i get up to 130 wpm! Admittedly this is because i have had largely unfettered internet access since i was a toddler which has done irreparable damage to my brain

to be fair they did try, i had a typing class in like 4th grade where they tried to get us to use the home row, but i thought it was dumb and cheesed all the typing games. but yaknow my typing speed nowadays is fine and even if it wasnt, speed isnt really a key factor in using the computer :P

my dad works for a large IT company so i was always encouraged to learn how to do things on the computer which definitely helped in my case. i find that the main key to figuring out tech is to just learn what all the buttons do

Yeah, my dad works in tech too, which is how i ended up on the path to self-hosting. I wonder if that’s a common denominator among tech-literate zoomers/alphoomers.
