I seemed to come in at the end of the homepage era. Geocities, Angelfire, WebRings, and the like were still around, but most kids had moved on to Xanga, then MySpace, then FaceBook. Never had much use for social media platforms. I wanted a website. Geocities seemed like a decent host compared to Angelfire, so I was sad when it closed. Kept my eye on Neocities for a few years before I had a good idea for a site.
