I don't think localstorage works with free websites (from experience)
ive mostly been on free plan on here (and i think my account is from post-whatever-limitations-were-implemented) and it does work in my case afaik
my current light/dark mode button has localstorage and it works lol...
i spent like a week trying to find the simplest style switcher available, and kalechips's is like. incredibly efficient. i still experience some FOUC but it's possible to work around
god yeah. FOUC the bane of my life... more like fuck off 😫
