Just occurred to me I could reduce the number of steps involved in posting a blog entry by having the "recent widget", index and blog entry read the titles and dates from the RSS and output to the page. Then I only need to type the date twice (once in the blog entry filename, once in the RSS), rather than the like 10 times I have to rn lol. Edit: Also means I wouldn't need to edit-republish home/blog index each time.

Aright, cut a long story short I've decided I don't want to wait until my in-dev SSG app is finished to move my site back here. So I'm switching priorities to bringing my site + projects here ASAP and then working on my app after that. Once my app is finiiiished I will then use it to build my site (here) from then on. Translation: Site should be back here in the next coupla weeks rather than ???.

W3Schools have made a free static web hosting service called W3Spaces. Had a quick look. It seems good exceeeept that it nags you every split second to buy a paid plan, no stats at all without paying, and your visitors get a "warning! user generated content! continue?" page. So Neocities is still the best. And I look forward to returning the front-end of my site and projects here. π

My updated page showed up as a thumbnail with visible most recent post, but when you click the page, it's still the older version

yeah i refreshed it like 5 times and still wasnt working. And sometimes, after i got the current page, if i went to a different page and came back it would show me the old one again.
Currently working on a new desktop app for building a multi-page site and/or blog. Once finished I'll most likely be moving the front end of my site back here to Neocities, and just using my PHP hosting for stuff like comments.
