Are you sure you want to do this?
Can't play it on Linux but it looks absolutely terrifying from the promo video!
The music and aesthetics within the trailer are so rad! I wish I could play it.
I asked around, and appearently, it's supposed to work on linux too- the person who did the shop page supposedly forgot to add it. I'd be eternally grateful if one of you (or anyone else reading this with a linux OS) could try running it and report your findings so we know for sure.
nvm, someone tested, it works! Feel free to play if you've got a linux
It looks like the zip file only contains a Windows executable (i.e.: won't work on Mac or Linux without an extra compatibility layer like WineBottler or Wine).
just ran it on linux w/wine and it worked, but either the game itself or my windows emulation made the colors completely washed together
example of what i mean: this screenshot is from first level of game where everything is black and i basically can't see the player character or platform delineations. not sure if this is how the game looks or its a problem with wine on my side: https://nohappynonsense.net/images/projpara.png
Yeah,oops... (^ヮ^;) the person who confirmed that it worked on Linux did not initially communicate that they used an emulator (proton). So it seems that windows is really the ONLY supported platform currently. We'll see if something can be worked out. PS: @NHN, it's definitely NOT supposed to look like this, I assume it's an issue with your emulator. It alledgedly works fine with proton.
oh yeah - works with proton 8.0-2 on Steam (on Linux) for me. https://nohappynonsense.net/images/projpara2.png
can't play it right now as i'm about to head out, but wanted to ask you @brenn - is there a menu button? i've had to alt tab and close the window to get out each time
Yeah there's no menu button, I've been struggling with that myself. Btw, if you plan on playing it later, I recommend redownloading it- a new version was just released which fixes the most major bugs and replaces the placeholder track for the first phase which was still in the original release with the finished track
