I originally had a tenuous grasp on the general "look" I wanted, but I really just channeled the sorts of things that enchanted me about handcoded websites when I was a child. MIDIs, anime sprites...I loved all of those things! I know webcore is kind of overused but it does revive a childlike wonder in me, haha.
