Hi goodmode. Really liked the impersonal web article - I've had similar thoughts for a long time. I think it's because people prefer convenience, and a "like" button is just so easy to press and forget. This applies to real life as well unfortunately, not just the internet.

thank you! i really think the web has changed in a pretty dispiriting way over time and i'm glad to hear other people feel the same. i know what you mean about IRL too, to some degree. at least my ramblings seem to be sparking conversation, and that's all i can hope for! thank you for dropping me a line!
I know I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but yr essay on social media is great. Especially coming from the perspective of an artist! Yr site is very nice, in general.

I'm glad I could convince you then! Honestly not a huge fan of my essay, it was a bunch of good points and then some Districts shilling at the end, but I do think the better solution is to just tell everyone about the sites you like. Feels more personal, and you don't need to rely on some clunky old tech for it. Either way, thanks for reading.

added an art of deacon from fallout 4. i actually got 76 and i've been playing the beta. it's good but it needs more npcs for me to make friends with and guard from strangers
