Very helpful explanation! If I'm understanding correctly, a Public Key is almost like an email address you send information to, while the Private Key is like the password to the email address?
@cheru I would explain it different: Encryption is like a lock. Your public key is for closing the lock and your private key is the only one that can open it. Anyone can use any public key to encrypt the message but only the person with the private key is able to decrypt and read the mail.
