in case you're still wondering, the info you gave on filtering the screenshotter was pretty close - someone else pointed out that the neocities useragent is named screenjesus, so I was able to use that to filter it! tysm for the help, also I love your ephemera collection

yelling into the void since this solved my last problem - does anyone know a way to mess with/circumvent neocities page snapshot system? i have a warnings page that shows once when a person first visits the site, but i don't want that to be the preview for every single page lol

i remember someone a while ago had some way to detect the snapshotter based on the user agent... can't be more help than that

nevermind i remembered i think the snapshotter useragent is called screenjesus! u can read the useragent from navigator.userAgent
