Apparently, my Spanish skills are so bad that a native speaker preferred to talk to me in English. I'm gonna drop that from my "about" page soon. (Cependant, je peux toujours parler en français.)

Oh, and also, I saw the eclipse on 2024-04-08.
In other words (to paraphrase the pun), you know enough Spanish to be dangerous (to yourself). However, take heart in knowing that you at least know enough Spanish at all as opposed to others who don't. Also, it just means that you should speak Spanish more, not less. Don't be discouraged.
