I obviously think Neocities is awesome, but... I do wish we could turn off the "tidy URLs" thing where it redirects from .html to no .html. It's gave me a bit of headache here and there with my own projects and third party stuff lol. Or maybe it could allow both variants (no redirect), then webmasters could link to whichever one they prefer. Not the end of the world though!

Yeah, probably that's why I still got trouble to highlight in my navbar the page that is currently on, so I guess it's even more annoying with more complicated scripts

I have deleted the planner project from my site for now due to it being unfinished and having a new name "Print My Organiser". I am still working on it and it will be reuploaded once done. Should be done before the end of November! :D

tbh it's nice to be working on a small project that HASN'T turned into a giant project that lasts months or more lol.

Just spruced up 👩‍🦰Superdeb's itch page! https://scott222.itch.io/superdeb

Thanks, that's useful to know! It means I need to make the game's instructions more helpful, which I'll look into for a future version. Hopefully you enjoyed Superdeb despite the setback haha! xD

Currently putting together a small weekly planner printing app. The way it will work is : 1) Visit app and see a preview your planner. 2) Print it out (no downloads, directly from webpage), cut it, holepunch it and stick it in an A5 ring binder. --- Was making this for myself as I buy I personal organiser each year but only really use the planner, todo and notes pages. Figured others may also find it useful!

https://scott2.neocities.org/planner/ - This is a very small project (for real this time lol) so it will be finished before the end of November.

And I've just realised the title should say 2026 LOL. 😅 Funny how you notice this stuff more when it's live. xD

Bored? You can now pass an ENTIRE MINUTE of time!!! Since I've added a new poll: "Which superpower would you choose?". Vote in the left column (or in the annoying burger menu if you're on an accursed mobile device). As always, a detailed poll results analysis will be posted at around 100 votes (if we reach that many again), since these things are SO important.

🚩 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. All pages, blog entries and projects are back online here at Neocities and fully functional. If I ever start talking about fundamentally changing the way my site works again please tell me not to because it takes an age to redo all the pages and blog entries lol. 😅

Just occurred to me I could reduce the number of steps involved in posting a blog entry by having the "recent widget", index and blog entry read the titles and dates from the RSS and output to the page. Then I only need to type the date twice (once in the blog entry filename, once in the RSS), rather than the like 10 times I have to rn lol. Edit: Also means I wouldn't need to edit-republish home/blog index each time.

Aright, cut a long story short I've decided I don't want to wait until my in-dev SSG app is finished to move my site back here. So I'm switching priorities to bringing my site + projects here ASAP and then working on my app after that. Once my app is finiiiished I will then use it to build my site (here) from then on. Translation: Site should be back here in the next coupla weeks rather than ???.
