i think now that i've finished most of my site, my updates will be less frequent, but i'm always around here keeping an eye on things

does it actually make a difference to convert images from png to webp?

size wise yes, quality wise it looks the same. one png of my art is 2.5mb, converted to webp its 500kb

i guess it also depends on the images, for my artwork definitely is a must need because all my art pieces are over 1mb up to 5, but i think for smaller pngs like blinkies and what not, probably kinda redundant

@zhongvie got it, i started thinking about converting the images for my photobook page and for the sims screenshots i take since they’re almost always over 2mb

honestly the saved space on any form of image compression always tends to be worth it, especially for those who don't sponsor.

It can be, but webP isn't supported across a lot of programs which makes it a bit annoying to deal with. If you haven't already, try optipng.

since i made the page with my fav pokémon, some things have changed, so i finally updated it and added like 20+ more. one day i still wanna add filters by type, gen, etc., and make it look fancier, but just updating it was already enough work for today. so maybe another time... (pls check the page so my effort isn't for nothing)

finished playing pokémon black today and added my review to the games page
ayoooo black is a pretty good game, my memory of it is shoddy but it had some nice quality of life stuff as an upgrade from previous generations (im biased to gen 4 myself since its where i started w/platinum and soul silver)
@zhongvie not sure if i got too addicted but i actually thought the story was kinda short, for some reason i expected it to be longer, but i loved it anyway, can't wait to play the others
