I am considering moving from Neocities to DreamHost (for greater freedom and easier management of my custom domains--I have five right now and am eyeing another, and TBH managing seven Neocities accounts is very tiring.) but the community is why I came back here. I don't know if there's a good solution for this. Keep my Neocities page as a redirect and post manual updates on the feed? Is that even OK?

i went on the most beautiful walk today, for over six hours from my door back to my door. i spent so long photographing and taking notes on birds. unfortunately i can't share much of it, because it's all being funnelled into a new daily life log that i won't be able to unveil for a while

finally pushed those style changes. site is like? half-responsive, now? the body shrinks a bit on mobile. and almost everything using the main layout has max and min widths. also new 404 page which i thought was cute ~~ https://mouseling.net/not_found

working on style changes, but i realised i forgot to push the song of the month beforehand. i really can't push my changes until the doujin i bought arrives (so that i can pick at it for scans), and the postal services are taking their time, so it won't arrive tomorrow as planned. *sigh*

People are much more interested in the novelty of birdwatching j-fashion and sometimes people join the community! But a lot of people conflate having full coordinates or owning our fashion elder's brands as being that thing. It's not crazy to think that the essence is getting a little lost.

Going to a Jfashion swap meet today, hopefully I can re-start my aristo wardrobe but I'm not sure. the local community seems to be more into sweet lolita and fairy kei, which i have nothing against, but i lovelovelove darker aesthetics and don't like to crossdress ;_;

I just made plans for a lolita meet for next month as a gothic aristo/ouji. I get it, most comms are sweet-saturated and because a lot of them like to follow themes, I often get excluded LOL

i almost got run over twice on the way home and i got stranded on the side of the highway long after this. im so glad its over but i had fun and made a new friend. i got some really good photos too, ill try to write and post about it tomorrow but i migh tbe too tired tbh sob

@transferns I'm setting up a DigitalOcean account now just to try things. I'll move picopico.org there and see how I feel. The main draw is pointing domains to directories (say, picopico.org/metronome/ corresponding straight to my domain deathchocolates.cc. Convenient!)
