btw im gonna stop using the built in code editor and use something else because neocities is so damn slow

use vscode or something then upload it. i use github actions to publish my site every time i commit it to github

I typically use vim out of habbit, although like flvffywvffy said, vscode (or vscodium if you want an entirely open source variant) has a lot of convenient stuff for pushing updates to neocities via git
