Hi goodmode. Really liked the impersonal web article - I've had similar thoughts for a long time. I think it's because people prefer convenience, and a "like" button is just so easy to press and forget. This applies to real life as well unfortunately, not just the internet.

thank you! i really think the web has changed in a pretty dispiriting way over time and i'm glad to hear other people feel the same. i know what you mean about IRL too, to some degree. at least my ramblings seem to be sparking conversation, and that's all i can hope for! thank you for dropping me a line!
