Glad to hear that my nerdings are appreciated! Doig is great, especially if you can see his works in full scale. He bases his style on people like Max Beckmann and C D Friedrich, but a better contemporary equivalent might be David Hockney's landscapes from a few years ago. In case you like googling art ;-)
Oh, thanks for the Hockney suggestion. His work is so vibrant and full of motion. Would be a kick to be able to step into one of his paintings and be carried along to the end of the path... :)
I do appreciate getting to see art I probably wouldn't ordinarily come across. I also think I like Doig...a lot. :)
