I can assure you that your writings do have the capacity to produce changes in those who read them, your words have the strength and raw honesty that those who are capable of standing in front of a mirror and dissecting their interior instead of hiding behind trivial appearances possess. Yeah it's much easier to praise God when life is good than it is when life is hard. But as encouragement, I'll just leave that God in His testimony are with those who mourn. The Bible was only written by people who have suffered much. They're comforted, even if their sufferings appear endless. So much more than death, it's the resurrection that marks the glory of God. Pray, you be well.

congrats on the new lightbulb! I have a blue one and a little red. Those lights helps to set me in the right mood for make my muzak. So maybe yours will helps with your writing.
