another banger. u are so right. i think obvi a fraction of this is due to social media, where its all about optics to an extent and people are more likely to say rude things that they otherwise wouldnt. some ppl getting those comments are willing to stand firm in their beliefs & self expression, but others dont cuz ig it gets too much.

alao parents that repeat the cycle of snuffing out anything different. my parents are pretty cool for the most part but they have their moments. when i still wore makeup regularly they had a whole argument w me to the point i cried where they called me a try hard and that i looked ugly with it on. like granted my makeup was bad at 17/18 but like 😒 did they have to do all that...
