Thank you for the follow :) I really like your site so far. I've been wanting to read The Idiot and began a different translation a month or two ago, but when I pick it up again I'll try the Eva Martin translation.

Hi! Thank you so much :} I'm captivated by your bird art and photos, they're so beautiful! For P&V's The Idiot, I think just about any translation could be better, Martin's is just easier to access (although the spelling of the names to English are very old e.g. Muishkin vs. Myshkin). David Mcduff and Constance Garnett are other great translators that are well received. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading it!

Created a Now page, created some pages about art challenges, and did more formatting on my books page and added my latest read, Dark Tales by Shirley Jackson.

I've been meaning to make a books page for years and it's finally here! I love how the dithered covers look. Is the text in the flipcards too small/hard to read? Does anyone have small but legible font recommendations?

wait i love that rating system, that's awesome. i might look into adding that to my media page somewhere!!! and i think the font looks fine to me, though maybe something like your base font might also work, or intel one? the sharp corners help to make letters more legible, but that's to me

also ooh what did you use for dithering your images + the settings? i rlly like how they look

yogomagpie's avatar yogomagpie 2 months ago

@zhongvie Thank you! And right, isn't that rating table so good?? I use https://doodad.dev/dither-me-this/ for the dithering bc it's very customizable--my settings for the covers are 6 bit rgb, ordered dithering, 4x4 matrix.
