>daliwali I have changed from "private property" to "personal property" after reading your comment. You reminded me that the term "private property" has the widespread Marxist meaning. So it would heavily distort what Plato wrote. What he wrote originally is close to "A ruler's property must be for public use only". And since it came from the context of anti-democracy, any democratic interpretation would distort it.
