i try not to talk too much abt how good it is here in japan bc all the news coming from back in the US is horrifying and i wish i could scoop up all my friends n loved ones and bring them here..... but i really have to say i'm still shocked by how much cheaper and better medical care is here.

sorry for lack of real updates!! on top of finishing up immigration stuff and finishing the sale of my old house in the US, i had a two day long asthma attack and ended up in the hospital the other night ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ ) i am mostly fine/recovering but istg i am always in a Fucking Situation lately

my whole ordeal from ambulance (free) to hospital + asthma oupatient specialists + 2 pharmacy runs (no insurance) has costed in total less than half of an insured ambulance trip in the US. probably even less than half, considering my old city had just voted to privatize all EMT care as of when i moved away....
also the asthma specialist i went to and the pharmacy down the street from me take mercari pay, so i functionally traded two lolita headbows for a doctor exam and a bag of medicine lol
