Really should not surprise me at all whenever I find a Christian webring, and the rules vocally exclude anyone pro-choice or any LGBTQ+ person who doesn't self-felagellate enough for their liking. I keep my religious beliefs on the down-low (I'm an ex-Catholic-turned-Episcopalian) in part because of people like this.

Granted, I'm under no illusion that the indie web community is completely bigot-free (see also: the Great TERF Webring Kerfuffle of 2023), and I likely wouldn't have joined anyway since I tend to find online Christian spaces far too alienating (including ostensibly queer-affirming ones). But it is pretty tiresome to come across it. All I can do is block and move on.

aaaaa thank you so much! I originally had a tenuous grasp on the general "look" I wanted, but I really just channeled the sorts of things that enchanted me about handcoded websites when I was a child. MIDIs, anime sprites...I loved all of those things! I know webcore is kind of overused but it does revive a childlike wonder in me, haha.

After two days of tinkering and a ton of hair-pulling, I worked a miracle and got GIF-pausing to work on the homepage! Had to give up on FreezeFrame though. I barely understand Javascript, but Solaria's script is far simpler and easier to test. Making individual PNGs of every GIF is mind-numbing and tedious, but worth it.

Hello, and thanks so much! ^_^ I still have long ways to go, but am getting better at finessing the overall look. I love the gentle pastels on your site, as well as the favicons. I admittedly like those a little more than emoji's XD;;;
