ok, figured out a temporary solution for the blog. I've used details/summaries to section them off. the big ramblings will probably have their own dedicated pages at some point but I think I may keep the summary/details thing for the brieflies (my little itty bitty write-ups that are too long to be microblogs but short enough that it doesn't warrant its own page)

thinking out loud: changing the art page to a For You page (since that's what it is, the F2U stuff), moving directories around so that it makes logical sense (did you know that, like, most of my subpage files are on level 1? with everything else? oof). also wondering if I should remove the main gif player and only use it where needed (ie the buttons part of my About page, or in the F2U pages)?

I'm a fan of the iframe idea - it looks great on the site - except I'm having issues figuring out how to apply themes to the windows in the iframe without CORS errors :(

it is relieving to know we are in agreeance. like my friend in cyberspace you are on the same domain. the iframe source is in a singular (1) folder. please be nice

i think i will move my blog off of bearblog. idk. i've been using it for a while and I've found myself to not be a fan. may look into some static generators or perhaps maybe use iframes? keeping everything together on the site would be nice i think

Curious to hear what you didn't like about bearblog. I chose not to try it because I wanted to manage and create all my posts locally. Also, if you're curious about SSGs, you can see many examples of different neocities sites that are built with different ones listed here for inspo: https://neossg.neocities.org/

more or less the same reasons (keeping stuff managed locally) + I wanted to do a little more customization-wise with my blog that free accounts can't do. i also want to put images in my posts too

looking at my css pack page. it looks pretty cramped. i may end up doing a similar thing to the shrines page where I make each one a "button" that pulls from the funny colors and graphics of each pack. that'd be cool i think
