All the while I'm easily earning enough to never be without food or shelter. I wish life was this easy

++saw a trailer for some Merlin series, thought "Is that Brett Cooper?" It was. It doesn't look great. Brett does, but the series doesn't. It looks thousands of times better than the BBC's Merlin though, so that's something. I don't think the 1981 Excalibur movie will ever be topped. (I had my parents watch it after they saw BBCMerlin and it completely blew their minds) But maybe it'll still be worth watching.

oh, Smiling Friends doesn't make me smile. Like I've watched a bunch of compilations of it and it's not really funny. But it's also not really uh... bad, I think it's an ok show. I liked the bit where Bill Nye gets electrocuted, that was cool. And I did appreciate a bit where a bookshelf has The God Delusion and all the books surrounding it are science books for children. And Cosmos. That's like something I'd write.

I don't know why we can't have beautiful things in the world anymore. Cars look attrocious, remakes look abhorrent, architecture is souless. Just like you said, these game companies spend more than a third world's GDP with all of this bleeding edge hardware and they barely look any better than 7th game consoles (It's arguable that they look worse in some ways).
